Our founders, Lily Tang and Alberto Paderno, are dedicated to revolutionising the way healthcare is delivered—whether it's preventive care, community-based care, or decentralised clinical trials. Together, they bring a unique blend of personal experiences and professional expertise, driving a shared vision for making healthcare more effective, convenient, and humane.

Lily’s journey with CareForMe began from a deeply personal struggle with hyperthyroidism. The frequent hospital visits for routine blood tests and check-ups became a burden, sparking an idea to transform the way healthcare services are delivered. But it was more than her own experiences that inspired her—Lily also saw the immense challenges of clinical trials, where low recruitment and retention rates led to delayed treatments, including life-saving ones for diseases like cancer that impacted her own family.

Alberto, an assistant professor and head and neck surgeon at Humanitas Research Hospital, brings over a decade of clinical research experience to CareForMe. Having served as a Principal Investigator (PI) in oncology clinical trials, Alberto has firsthand knowledge of the barriers traditional research sites face, including logistical inefficiencies and low patient follow-up rates. His work as a clinical researcher and surgeon has fueled his passion for a more patient-centered, humanized approach to decentralised trials.

Alberto’s academic journey has taken him to Stanford University Hospital as a visiting scholar, where he continues to innovate in the fields of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Clinical Trials Innovation. With a PhD in this emerging area, he believes that hybrid models—combining traditional research with decentralised approaches—are the future of clinical research, enabling faster, more efficient trials that better serve patients.
